The FLOMEC® Small Capacity OM Series Oval Gear meters are a versatile solution for precision flow measurement across various applications. This flow meter is specifically designed to meet the demands of industries that require accurate and reliable measurements. With a wide flow range capability from 1 L/hr to 550 L/hr, it proves to be adaptable for applications such as Fuel Additive Injection, Fuel Consumption and Additive Injection.

Designed to measure high-viscosity fluids with ease, this flow meter is ideal for applications where consistent and precise measurements are crucial. Its performance remains unparalleled, even in challenging, fluid environments.

The OM Series Flow Meter Pulse Out excels in accuracy, boasting a remarkable ±0.2% reading accuracy. This high level of precision ensures that every measurement is reliable, contributing to the efficiency and success of your processes. The OM comes with an RT14 flow rate totaliser that can interface with external control and monitoring equipment (PLC, SCADA, DCS) via a scaled pulse, 4–20 mA (loop-powered) output, or flow alarms. It is also available in an intrinsically safe version, making it ATEX/IECEx approved.

The small-capacity flow meters for fuels and oils are constructed with aluminium body material, stainless steel rotors (PPS in the 3/8 in.), and Viton O-rings.

These flow meters are perfect for measuring small volumes of a thick or non-conductive liquids at low flow rates.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How often do we need to calibrate our OM Series flow meter?

There is no standard recommendation. It will depend on how often it is used, the criticality of the measurement, and how much you are willing to spend on keeping the instrument in calibration. The common best practice approach is to choose a nominal re-calibration period and then check the re-calibration against the original calibration report to see how much it has drifted during that period. If it has changed more than what deems acceptable, you may shorten the frequency. If the change is a lot less, you may choose to extend it.

If we ordered a meter with a meter mount display, can we take out the display to mount it remotely?

Yes, the display can be remotely mounted. You can contact us or our distributor in your area on what parts are needed for this conversion.

Can we have our meter recalibrated?

Yes, we can cater to recalibration requests of varying requirements, including multipoint calibrations. Contact us for more information.

Can we install our meter vertically?

Yes, the meter can be installed vertically but the rotor shafts must be in horizontal plane and the liquid should travel from bottom to top through the meter. Failure to mount your meter in the correct orientation will cause the weight of the rotors to bear down on the thrust bearings. The short term effects of incorrect mounting orientation will be a loss in accuracy, with long term effects ranging from reduced lifespan to fairly rapid catastrophic damage.

Do you have CAD files or drawings available for your these meters?

Yes, we have a full list of CAD files and drawings available here. If you have any other requirements for specifying the OM Series, please feel free to contact us so we can assist you.
